We are excited to welcome you to Berkeley Rose's very own Winter Wander. This is an outdoor event celebrating the winter holidays from around the world.
In order for you to have the best experience, group sizes are strictly managed. Please do not buy an adult ticket for a child. We limit groups to 12 children.
Join us for an enchanting walk where children experience the magic of winter. You will begin with a welcome from Gaia, our Mother Earth, who then sends you on your journey around the world. On this meander around our campus, you will see how different cultures celebrate winter and bring light into the darker, colder days of the year: the celebrations of Diwali, Hanukkah, Shab-e Yalda, a visit with a hibernating bear, some charming dioramas of Las Posadas & and Chinese festival of Dongzhi, a winter story puppet show, a visit with a Pocket Person, and the decoration of a Christmas tree while live carolers sing to you.
Along the way the children will collect small treasures which do include some sweets.
Although this event is prepared for children ages 3 to 8, all children are welcome. Babes in arms (under 2) do not require a ticket (the adult does, though).
Dress warmly, as the event is outside. Please also note that there are stairs along our wintery journey.
