In honor of the 230th Anniversary of the construction of Fort Defiance and the 230th Anniversary of the Battle of Fallen Timbers a living history encampment will take place June 29-30 at Pontiac Park in Defiance, Ohio.
Situated on the bank of the Maumee River and overlooking the Auglaize River this living history event will explore the early history of Defiance.
The time period will range from the 1770s through the end of the War of 1812.
The hours are Saturday 9:00-5:00pm.
Sunday 9:00-4:30pm.
There is no fee to attend, and programming is provided for all ages.
The living history encampment is in conjunction with Art in the Park and Riverfest.
The weekend of programming is made possible through the Friends of the Defiance Library, Riverfest Committee, the City of Defiance Bicentennial, Fort to Port Histories and more!
