Kiln-Fired Enamelled Decorations Workshop at The Community Room, The Walled Garden, Little Plumstead, NR13 5FASaturday February 7th 1:30 - 3:30
This beginner friendly fun workshop will have a maximum of 8 participants. You will create your own enamelled jewellery using first copper, then silver and learning to enamel. The enamels used are vitreous enamels which will be kiln fired. You will learn to apply the enamels to the metal and gain an understanding of the firing and then finishing process.
You will be guided gently through all the processes involved and given any help or guidance needed. Please wear an apron and bring reading glasses if needed. You will be provided with all the tools and equipment needed. If you wish to purchase additional materials to use it is possible to purchase either copper or silver.
This workshop is suitable for adults.
There are delicious refreshments available in the Walled Garden Café either before or after the workshop.
The workshop fee is £42 payable now, with a suggested donation of £10 to be paid directly to the Walled Garden on the day. Please bring cash or card to make a donation to the Walled Garden at their shop or cafe.
Angela Humphrey will be leading this workshop. Angela studied Art History & Design at school and then University. While studying various jewellery and silversmithing courses in adult education (from 2006 to 2019) she developed a love of enamelled silver and has been selling her enamelled jewellery since December 2019.
