Indigenous funds and multilateral donors will discuss the way forward to get climate funds in the hands of frontline communities.
About this Event

Join us during Climate Week NYC 2024 for our next discussion, our first ever Land Dialogue hybrid event hosted both online and at the Ford Foundation headquarters on Monday, September 23.

The need for urgent, collective action on the climate is greater than ever but Indigenous Peoples and local communities are questioning whether multilateral funders can deliver on direct access and fit-for-purpose funding. In our panel Indigenous-led funds and multilateral donors will discuss challenges and ways forward to get committed climate funds in the hands of frontline communities who need it most.

We’ll explore critical questions, such as whether multilateral funds can tailor their systems for diverse communities that govern vast territories with unique cultural inheritances? And how can multilaterals engage with the territorial funds in a crowded and complex global climate finance structure? We’llll delve into the role of multilateral funds in a modern financing ecosystem and find out if and how they can be held accountable for their promises.

We hope you'll join us!

Breakfast will be served from 8AM-8:30AM, after which the event will begin. This event is co-organized by the , the and the
