About this Event

*This is an in-person event*

* Please note this session is for HPMA members only**

*This session is for those in HR/OD/ Workforce roles**

Summary:

The new Health and Care Plan, together with the creation of ICSs outline the ambition to work with system partners to meet the health and care needs of our populations across geographical footprints. The health and care system is under enormous strain, with demand far outstripping capacity. The impact of Covid and the cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated this pressure. We live and work in a complex system, which is deeply interconnected, and decisions made in one part of the system impact other parts.

To find ways of making a tangible difference to people most affected, system partners need to work together.

During this one-day session we will share an approach to system working, exploring what is needed to set conditions for success and identify what question needs to be solved.

Purpose: To understand what is needed to develop the conditions for success to work across systems

Objectives

During this interactive session, we will enable participants with their own project to explore how they can:

1. Understand what is needed to set the right conditions for success for system working

2. Understand how to help a group identify what question needs to be answered/ challenge needs to be solve

3. Explore what is needed from you as a catalyst to enable the work

Outputs

By the end of the sessions, participants will leave with

1. A understanding of what is meant by condition setting and what this entails

2. Insight into the different types of change and what approach is needed for each

3. Techniques to co-design a breakthrough question

4. Practical application for their own change programmes

Outcomes

1. Shared insight and understanding of the impact and value they bring to work
