EMSA Approved Preventive Health Practices for Child Care

Welcome to the EMSA Approved Preventive Health Practices for Child Care event!
This is the 8-hour course that is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family child care provider. The course includes:
-Lead Poisoning Prevention
-Recognition, management and prevention of infectious diseases
-Sanitary Food Handling
-Child Nutrition
-Identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse
-Immunizations
-Prevention of childhood injuries
-Emergency preparedness and evacuation
-Caring for children with special needs
PART 1: Monday April 20th, 2026, From 1:00PM - 5:00PM
PART 2: Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, From 1:00PM - 5:00PM
All participants must register here and fully complete all required questions. Any incomplete registrations will be unenrolled.
(This registration covers both days.)
Important Note: This is a two-part training. Attendance at both sessions is required to receive a certificate. No make-ups will be allowed for any portion of this training.

Please plan to arrive early or on time, as late admittance will not be permitted. Doors will open 10 minutes before the training begins and will be locked 15 minutes after start time.
No children are allowed at this training.

This training is presented in English, and full comprehension of English is required to attend.
Refunds will not be approved unless at least three (3) business days’ advance notice is provided via Eventbrite or by contacting the Resource & Referral Department at Solano Family & Children’s Services at 707-863-3950, extension 752.
