Gloria Vasquez-Melendez: is a Bronx-born Hispanic woman raised by her single mother and grandmother. She is a mother of three boys; however, her students will say she is a mother of many more.

Gloria has held a steadfast dedication to education spanning over 26 years, She has navigated diverse roles with unwavering passion and expertise. Her career started as a paraprofessional, then transitioned to roles as a middle school Special Education teacher. Gloria finally decided to pursue a third master's degree in school administration to take on the role of a High School Dean. Holding a steadfast dedication to education spanning over 26 years, She has navigated diverse roles with unwavering passion and expertise. Gloria embodies a commitment to continuous growth and service.

Beyond her professional achievements, Gloria shines as a beacon of compassion and empowerment in the education landscape. Embracing the 'Every Child and Family is Known' initiative, She stands out as a nurturing and caring adult figure ensuring every student feels seen and supported. Furthermore, her founding of 'I am H.E.R.R,' a transformative girls' group dedicated to fostering confidence, courage, and commitment among young women, reflects Gloria's profound commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.

Tenika Foster-Jones: Esthetician..Waxologist Extraordinaire!! Tenika Foster-Jones has 25+ years covering the NY Metro Area. Owner of City Braiders (NJ) and Opulence Waxing (NYC). Mother of one son and wife to the love of my life Marc Jones. Tenika is a passionate enthusiastic lover of all things in the Spa and Beauty space. Born and raised in a Westchester County suburb in Mount Vernon NY. I have worked in salons since I was 12 years old. I worked for my older sister as her shampoo girl/ assistant which began my love for the beauty industry.

Once I entered high school I enrolled in the Mount Vernon High School cosmetology program. In 1993 I graduated from Bergen Tech in Hackensack NJ. Straight out of high school, I was recruited to work in a High-End Full Service salon. After spending 3 years in a salon with no weekends off I joined the corporate workspace and enrolled in college. I spent the next 26 years of my life working in corporate structure and earning a degree in international business with a trade option. Nine years ago I was laid off from my corporate job in Orangeburg NY and found my way back to the beauty industry, after much research a couple of business meetings, and several phone calls later Opulence Waxing Spa LLC was born!!
