About this Event
Dwayne and Patrice Benbow are dynamic entrepreneurs dedicated to making a positive impact in their communities.
Dwayne, famously known as the Funnel Cake King of Baltimore, has turned his popular food business into a platform for social change. By donating a portion of his proceeds to youth-oriented organizations, he actively contributes to the well-being of young people in both Baltimore City and County.
In addition to his entrepreneurial success, Dwayne is now serving as a Democratic State Central Committee member for Maryland's 40th District. This role enhances his ability to advocate for community needs and initiatives. Patrice, on the other hand, brings her expertise in health and wellness as the co-owner of Enhancement LLC. Through her business, she offers essential resources like CPR/First Aid training, mental health support, yoga, mindfulness practices, and nutrition advice. As a menopause specialist, she is particularly dedicated to helping women navigate this challenging phase of life.
The Benbows have garnered recognition for their contributions, receiving accolades from various media outlets, including Fox 45, and being honored with awards such as the University of Maryland’s Ph*rm*cy of the Year. Their upcoming presentation will focus on practical tips for budgeting, stock investments, and effective savings strategies. They will also discuss their entrepreneurial journey, highlighting how Patrice successfully transitioned from a corporate healthcare position to a thriving family business.
Their goal is to empower others by sharing the importance of strong community partnerships, financial literacy, and the power of love and hard work in achieving success. Through their experiences, the Benbows aim to inspire individuals and families to take charge of their financial futures and foster a sense of community resilience.
