About this Event
Strive Health Services is excited to host a FREE community event for parents and relatives of children with stuttering and fluency disorders.
Stuttering is a complex condition, and over the years, many different strategies have been used to support individuals who stutter. We are fortunate to have secured an evening with Dr. Courtney Byrd, a world-renowned expert who will share the most recent research to help families and clinicians understand the best ways to support this population.
This is an invaluable opportunity to learn the latest evidence-based approaches to helping your loved ones thrive.
Parent and SLP Perspective: "I didn’t realize how much the research had changed. As both a speech-language pathologist and the mother of a person who stutters, I used all the traditional methods I learned in graduate school. It led to frustration and confusion for my daughter. Thankfully, a colleague pointed me toward the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering. During their weeklong summer camp, Dream. Speak. Live., my daughter received incredible love, care, and support. Using the Blank Center's CARE Model™, she gained confidence and empowerment beyond what I could have imagined. I am forever grateful for their work."
