Employee Training on Workplace Violence Prevention Plans

Join the Workplace Violence Prevention Association (WPVA) the last Tuesday of each month for our WorkSafe Solutions series. Hosted by Dr. Brian Van Brunt, president of WVPA, and Brian Heider, executive director, along with members of the advisory board and other subject matter experts, these sessions will cover a wide variety of topics related to workplace safety. This month: Employee Training on Workplace Violence Prevention Plans

The success of any violence prevention plan relies on properly training employees on how to be an active part of violence prevention at their workplace. This includes situational awareness to be aware of potential risks before they occur, crisis-escalation and conflict resolution to better address heated arguments and conflicts, an all-hazard response to emergencies that offers training on topics of fire, earthquakes, hurricanes, power outages, hazmat, active shooters and identifying and responding to suspicious packages (bombs).
