About this Event
Welcome, everyone, to the second edition of ENM - Empire New Music!
Our new monthly event which is dedicated to introducing fresh and original music to our town.
Music holds a special place in all our hearts, doesn't it? It's more than just background noise; it's the soundtrack to our lives. But with grassroots venues closing down at an alarming rate, it's becoming increasingly difficult for local artists to find platforms to share their talents.
That's where ENM steps in. We're here to provide a stage for these talented artists to showcase their work. As proud members of the Music Venue Alliance, we're committed to preserving these vital spaces for musicians.
Your support is what makes events like ENM possible. By joining us, you're not only enjoying great music but also contributing to the vibrant music community we're building together and helping fight for the future of new and emerging talent.
A little bit about the bands, first is the headliner Ventrelles:
Fleece Pop. A tuneful, melodic wall of sound dressed in functional outdoor wear Formed from the embers of past collectives and distant echo of teenage knock a bout bands. Phil came home from living in Chicago in 2014 ready to take on the world of music with one last go, employing the help of old band mates and new to form the Ventrelle sound. A made up name combining the Chicago Transit Authority ‘Ventra’ card and The ‘L’ train together to form what sounded like a Phil Spector produced female soul-pop group.
Currently putting the finishing touches to the
the first ever Fleece Pop album.
Second is the Suport Band Sahaji :
Sahaji are an epic Japanese rock'n'roll band poised to make a big mark in the British music industry. Expect big epic soaring choruses with melodies harking back to classic 90's britpop bangers with a modern twist.
Influenced by Oasis, Tom Petty, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix amongst others. The Sahaji brothers have been honing their sound since their early songs were recognised at a YAMAHA Music audition in Japan.
This led to various magazine covers and their songs being used in TV ads across Asia.
Having already supported Andrew Cushin on his U.K tour, the boys are about to embark on a U.K tour kicking off with a show at the legendary Water Rats in London.
In 2022, after catching the ear of legendary Britpop producer Nick Brine, Sahaji signed to Flip Flop Records and are set to release a series of E.Ps with a full album launch in August.
Future in The Sky, the lead track from the debut E.P is released Jan 12th. Available as a limited four track physical CD release, the songs are already making waves on social media.
