About this Event
On October 12th at 12 PM, we’ll gather in Tremain Smith's studio space for a journey that blends mindfulness, self-expression, and slow fashion. Co-hosted with Lauren Holland — intuitive + healing catalyst at Makaristic.com — this experience begins with a guided meditation to help you tune in, name, and translate the emotions you’re carrying into a personal symbol.
From there, you’ll bring that symbol to life by painting it directly onto a garment you bring or fabric panel using vibrant fabric paints or the traditional art of Batik — applying melted beeswax to protect parts of your design before dyeing, creating layered patterns, depth, and color. The result: a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable or displayable art that holds your story.
All painting materials provided. You can bring your own garment you want to upcycle we just ask that it's a light color. No painting or sewing experience needed—just curiosity, presence, and something you’d love to make your own.
Because when you give your feelings shape and color, they can become something beautiful you carry forward.
