About this Event
Emotional intelligence (EI) refers to the ability to recognise, understand, manage, and effectively express one's own emotions, as well as to perceive, interpret, and respond appropriately to the emotions of others. It involves a set of skills that encompass empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, and motivation.
EI is important for several reasons:
· Better Relationships: People with high emotional intelligence tend to have healthier relationships. They can empathise with others, communicate effectively, and manage conflicts constructively.
· Effective Leadership: Leaders with high EI can inspire and motivate their teams, understand their emotions, and create a positive work environment.
· Personal Well-being: EI helps individuals manage stress, make better decisions, and cope with challenges more effectively, leading to greater overall well-being.
· Career Success: EI helps in networking, negotiation, and overall career advancement.
· Conflict Resolution: EI enables individuals to navigate conflicts diplomatically and find solutions that satisfy all parties involved.
· Adaptability: Emotionally intelligent people are more adaptable to change and open to feedback.
