In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, The Imperial Court of All Alaska is proud to announce a partnership show with NAMI of Anchorage on May 17th, 2026 called Emotional Elegance: A Mental Health Awareness Month Showcase. Mental health is a topic that hits at the heart of our community and the effects of it can ripple out like waves, but it is also something that can be hard to talk about. Emotional Elegance is a showcase where performers will tell stories of their own mental health journeys and how their art has helped them through some of their darkest times.
This show will be 18+ as topics of mental health can get heavy, there will also be trigger warnings given before each performance as well as a support person on site in the event that something discussed becomes triggering for anyone.
In addition to silent auction tables where there will be self-care items aplenty, there will be resource tables with information on various community mental health resources. Mental health is something that can feel isolating, especially in Alaska, but please know that You Are Not Alone and that through community and through your art, we will make it through to see another sunrise.
