Emma Pask “Two Out” – An Intimate Night of Jazz (Duo)
Celebrated as one of Australia’s most gifted and charismatic jazz vocalists, Emma Pask brings her acclaimed “Two Out” duo show to Piano Bar Geelong for the very first time.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Emma’s unmistakable voice blends sophistication, warmth and effortless swing. This beautifully intimate duo setting of voice and piano offers a rare opportunity to experience one of Australia’s finest jazz singers up close, weaving storytelling through timeless swinging standards, upbeat Latin rhythms, tender ballads and some delightfully raucous blues.
Joining Emma on piano is the incomparable Grant Windsor. A pianist, composer, arranger, conductor and producer, Grant has performed extensively with an extraordinary range of artists including Gregory Porter, Jamie Cullum, Plan B, Stephanie McKay and Benji B, as well as Australian icons Don Burrows, James Morrison and Janet Seidel. He is also Pete Murray’s touring pianist and musical director.
Grant’s compositional work spans jazz and orchestral worlds, including State of Union for the West Australian Composers Ensemble, Lacrimosa (a reimagining of Mozart’s Requiem movement for orchestra and jazz quartet), and The Memoriam Concerto for electric bass and orchestra.
Critics praise Emma as “a world-class jazz singer” and “both the commanding lead and an instrument in her own right”. This duo performance is a rare chance to hear two master musicians in their element, sharing the joy of jazz in one of Geelong’s most intimate live music rooms.
