Speaker: Mario Chiock

Mario Chiock currently is the Chief of Staff at Integriti Corporation since April 2022, he possesses over 44 years of experience in operations, IT, Cyber Security, Risk, Privacy and Auditing. Prior he was Schlumberger (now SLB) Fellow and CISO Emeritus until June 2020, he was responsible for developing the company’s worldwide, long-term cyber security strategy including the cyber security digital transformation and cloud migration. He is recognized for his leadership and management in all aspects of cybersecurity throughout the company as well as within the community.

Through his vision, he successfully transitioned Schlumberger from legacy firewalls to a more robust infrastructure based on next-generation firewalls. His experience in successfully deploying advanced technologies and approaches also spans Incident Response, Advance Threat Prevention, Digital Right Management to watermark & fingerprint sensitive documents. He also implemented federation services to minimize 3rd party risk and created the extended security team to foster collaboration with other IT groups. Mario is also known for applying his Lean Six Sigma expertise for measuring performance and creating dashboards that have led to more simple operations and reduction of waste.

In the oil and gas community he is considered a subject matter expert in Cloud technologies, Industrial Internet of Things, Mergers/Acquisitions and Digital transformation.

Outside of Schlumberger, Mario has been an active member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) for over 20 years; he has held numerous board positions in the Austin, Capital of Texas Chapter, as well as the South Texas Chapter in Houston. He was president of the South Texas Chapter in 2007, bringing in the “Chapter of the Year” award. He continues to serve on the board. Mario is also an active volunteer trainer for Security Certifications such as CISM, CISA & CRISC certifications, and has mentored many successful CSO & CISO in Austin & Houston area.

Mario was recognized as one of the top 25 out of more than 10,000 security executives in the ExecRank 2013 Security Executive Rankings, he also won the 2012 Central Information Security Executive (ISE) “People Choice Award”, in 2014 he is a recipient of the CSO40 – 2014 award, named “ISSA Fellow”, won ISC2 Americas Information Security Leadership Awards (ISLA) and won the “ISSA Honor Roll” award. In 2017 he received the Infragard Houston award of excellence for the Private-Public Partnership in Cybersecurity. Mario was president of the South Texas chapter in 2007 when the chapter was awarded chapter of the year award.

He is an active member of the Houston Security community and gives security talks, training and volunteers his cyber security expertise to local non-profit organizations. He was a board member of the Houston InfraGard Chapter, has served in Executive & Technical Advisory boards of many security companies, he was on the Board of directors of Onapsis until 2020.

Mario has a CISSP, CISM & CISA Certifications, and is past chair for the American Petroleum Institute Information (API) Security Sub-Committee and was involved in the formation of the Oil & Gas ISAC (ONG-ISAC).

In 2022 he returns to the board of ISSA south Texas chapter as membership director were he was able to more than double membership



Speaker: Anne M. Rogers, Senior Consultant Partner and COO/CSO of ERASCOGroup, LLC

Ms. Rogers provides technical and management consulting in Information Systems and Network management, Information security, solutions and compliance planning and design, performance and capacity management, as well as computer forensics and eDiscovery advice. From 2012 through 2021 she served as CIO for El Centro de Corazon, a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with four locations in Houston, TX.

From 2002 through early 2012, she was the Director, Information Safeguards for Waste Management responsible for company-wide information security and privacy protection strategy and compliance programs, information protection policies, procedures, and guidelines, and the company’s formal security awareness program. At Waste Management she established and managed an ASCLD certified Digital Forensics Lab and computer forensics program providing internal investigation and eDiscovery support. Prior to Waste Management, Rogers held positions as Principal Consultant with PMTech-Pro, LLC., Technical Program Manager with IBM, Technical Staff consultant for MITRE Corp, Director of Information Systems for Warren King Companies, and Deputy Director of Data Automation, USAF Alaskan Air Command.

Ms. Rogers is a long-time member of ISSA and an ISSA Fellow. She has served multiple terms as President of the ISSA South Texas chapter, was a founding member of the ISSA CISO Executive Forum, and served for ten years on the CISO Advisory Committee. She served on the ISSA International Board from 2004-2006, and from 2013-2019 as a Director and then as COO on the ISSA International Board. She is currently Executive Program Director for ISSA International.

Ms. Rogers was a founding member and board member of the Corporate eDiscovery Forum. She is a long-time member of InfraGard, former board member of the Houston InfraGard Chapter, and is currently an Adjunct Professor at University of St Thomas, Houston. Rogers holds a B.S. in Physics from U.T. El Paso and an MBA from the University of Utah, Salt Lake. She holds CISSP, IAM and IEM Security certifications, the Project Management Institute’s PMP certification, and formerly held CCE and EnCE forensics certifications.



Speaker: Michael Angelo CISSP, CRISC, CDPSE

Michael F. Angelo, is a Distinguished Technologist at Open Text and was the former Chief Security Architect for the Cyber Security business unit at Micro Focus.

Michael has designed, developed, and deployed security products and architectures in multi-national corporate environments for over forty years. This included over thirty years participating, driving, and creating security standards and over twenty-five years working on corporate policy, national /international legislation, and multi-national regulatory issues.

Michael is active in the security community and participates in numerous international and national advisory councils. He has chaired the ISSA International Webinar Committee, is a technology contributor to the BIS ISTAC and has been the co-chair of a working group striving to change the current security export regulations. Michael has been on the RSA international symposia committee from 2012 to 2024. He has also been a speaker at national and international security conferences, including RSA, ISSA, ISC2 and InfoSec.

Michael currently holds 84 U.S. patents, the majority being in the area of security. Additional honors include being a former Sigma-Xi distinguished lecturer, and TCPA lifetime achievement award recipient. In 2011 he was recognized by ISSA as the Security Professional of the Year, in 2013 he was added to the ISSA Hall of Fame; in 2021 he was named as an ISSA Distinguished Fellow.

In his day job Michael is responsible for oversight of security within the Cyber Security product group of OpenText. This included defining / deploying / measuring (an ever evolving) SDLC, and creating and completing over two dozen Common Criteria certifications.
