UUCP Emergent NatureDiscussing Braiding Sweetgrass

UUCP Emergent Nature is a continuing in-person discussion and sharing group facilitated by Jen McDaniel where we will plant the seeds of a reciprocal relationship with the Earth and one another. The first book we’ll be discussing is Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants, by Robin Wall Kimmerer. It is available to purchase locally and on-line as well as to check-out at local libraries. Electronic, audiobook, and traditional formats are all welcome. If you need help acquiring a copy, please ask. Come to one, some, or all sessions.
In Tonight's Session we will be covering Section 1, pages 1-32. This includes Skywoman Falling (p3-10), The Council of Pecans (p11-21), and The Gift of Strawberries (p22-32).
