Join us for an evening of cacao, music, ritual, storytelling, and connection as we gather to celebrate Imbolc, the sacred mid-point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox! Featuring musical offerings from Emergence and other special guests, at this time of honouring the return of the light and the first whispers of Spring, we invite you into a space of presence and attunement to the subtle stirrings of new life within and around us.The word “Imbolc” is said to derive from the Gaeilge, or Irish-Gaelic word “i mbolg,” which translates to “in the belly.” This festival marks a time of fertility, creativity, and renewal–a potent time to honour what is gestating within, prepare the soil for future growth, and take the first tender steps towards intentions and dreams for the year ahead.
Our evening will include an altar space dedicated to the Celtic Goddess Brighid, and we encourage you to bring any items that you may want to add to the altar during our time together.
Let us celebrate the return of the light while honouring the dark and all of its powerful teachings and wisdom! Come as you are.
Event Flow:
Opening Circle: An optional, lightly guided space to ground, arrive, and set intentions.
Cacao Offering & Ritual: Sharing a specially prepared cacao elixir to support with opening our hearts and a short ritual to honour this time of year.
Musical Journey: A concert-style experience featuring Emergence, and other special guests, blending soulful melodies, improvisation, and audience sing-alongs.
Storytelling: We will have a guest storyteller, Teàrlach Eshu Martin, share a story or two in the spirit of the season.

About Emergence:
Emergence is a modern, ancestral-folk musical collective composed of Hanna Elise, Cody Wicks, and Matthew Kinnunen. With singer-songwriter roots, their music weaves together both written songs, audience sing-alongs, and skillful improvisation. Hanna’s soaring vocals shine alongside Cody’s dynamic rhythms and Matthew’s evocative guitar playing and ethereal harmonies. Through their music, Emergence offers prayers for unity and being in right relationship with all sentient beings and our Mother Earth. Reaching back and below to the stories and songs from the Celtic and mixed-European cultural traditions of their lineages for guidance, their music invites the old ways to court the new.
