Emergence Arts Presents Community Clothing Swaps

Hello Fashion Enthusiasts! Welcome to Emergence Arts' Community Clothing Swap!

If you attended one of my clothing swaps in the past, I hope you're enjoying your upcycles as much as I've enjoyed mine. I cannot believe some of the super cute pieces I found! Thanks to everyone who came out, I always have a great time.

Clean out your apartments, donate new or lightly used pieces, and find something new for your to glamify and add to your rotation.

In the past, I've been able to host fun events, exhibits, and workshops for free in support of creatives and to pay it forward to other small businesses, yet sadly, I can no longer sustain free programming without proper funding (which I'm still working on).

Thank you for understanding due to rising costs in every area of life (except paychecks) why I need to start charging for my events. I anticipate the swaps being even more great in spite of these few changes. Ticket price now includes refreshments + snacks, and, as always, all access to great clothes and accessories.

SWAP RULES: Please read and follow these rules or I will remove you from future events.

• Clean clothes only. It's okay if things are slightly stained or can be mended, repaired, or decorated. Do not bring any piece that's dirty or has a pervasive or offensive odor. New pieces, lightly worn, and clean pieces only
• Costumes welcome
• Limit the number of baby clothes, nothing dirty or horribly stained
• Accessories: lightly used jewelery, new socks, lightly used + clean sneakers/shoes, no underwear, no pantyhose, no bathing suits. Please do not sneak these into piles, they will be removed and discarded.
• No makeup (unless brand new in package)
• Limit the number of housewares, nothing big or heavy, keep it all small and light
• Take what you need, please don't take more than you brought

Anything that doesn't trade will be donated to . They are an amazing non-profit organization that provides arts supplies and materials to other non-profit organizations interested in keeping textiles out of landfills. They also work with movie and tv production houses to provide all sorts of supplies for their sets, costumes, and creative projects.
