Known as Beltane to the Celts, this holy day was held in regard as the solar opposite of Samhain and, like Samhain, a time of deep connection with spirit.
With this in mind, we invite you to help us kick off May with a very special night of West Coast bass provided by a stellar lineup that will help us drop into our bodies and usher in the warmth of the new season!
This is the summertime pre-funk your body’s been craving, featuring BearSkinRug in his Portland debut, along with three local legends intentionally chosen for their booty shaking prowess!
A bit about our musical guides for the evening . . .
ＢｅａｒＳｋｉｎＲｕｇ
𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗥𝘂𝗴, AKA Ernie Trevino, began his DJ journey in 1999 and honed his skills over the years as a member of San Francisco’s legendary Brass Tax crew. Known for bringing upbeat, bass-forward sets to dancefloors and grassy knolls across the Bay Area, BSR is an expert at reading the crowd, switching up styles, and keeping it fresh, funky, and FUN! Whether he’s serving up breaks, house, drum ‘n’ bass, or dropping a surprise gem from the vault, BSR knows what the crowd wants and how to keep your booty in the game!
BearSkinRug now calls Idaho home, and we’re beyond hyped to give him a proper Portland welcome on the soundsystem we’ve all come to know and love. This will be a set to remember!

𝗠𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲 needs no introduction. A pillar in the Portland dance community, she has been slaying dancefloors alongside our favorite DJs and performers in our favorite venues for the past decade plus.
Whether playing to a crowd of hundreds in a cavernous warehouse or a wide-open space under the stars, setting the vibe in an intimate night club, or bringing the party to a riverfront renegade, Mienne has one setting: Bring the vibe and keep the party pumpin!

Ｍａｒｃｕｓ Ｆｕｎｋｈｏｕｓｅｒ
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 has made his mark on Portland’s underground scene since 2018 with bass-forward selections that traverse house and breaks, captivating audiences and claiming his space in the sonic landscape of Portland and beyond. “Where words fail, music speaks,” and Marcus speaks volumes. Recently stepping into the studio as a producer and drawing from a lifetime spent on dance floors and behind the decks, his productions capture the raw energy and groove that have defined his DJ sets for nearly a decade.

ＣＯＭＭＡ
𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔, aka Carlos Baca, is a ubiquitous figure at the magical intersection where Portland’s dance and bike communities intersect. Known for bringing deep and bassy sounds to dancefloors around Portland, his DJ sets tell a story and bring a special treat to the crowd each time.
In addition to COMMA’s work in the club scene, he is also the driving force behind Popcart, and has made a name for himself in the bike community by bringing his sound system to the places where clubs - and cars - can’t go. A welcome sight at rendezvous points across the Portland area, COMMA has brought the party to many a ride, and we all look forward to seeing him out there this summer!
