About this Event
🍀 Ren at the Den: The Feast of St. Patrick the Verdant🍀
A Special Mid-Month Tavern Night at Dragon Distillery
Hear ye! Hear ye!
By decree of the Crown (and several persuasive bartenders), Dragon's Den tavern summons all adventurers, scoundrels, nobles, hedge-mages, and suspiciously well-dressed peasants to a most unusual celebration…
For this eve we honor St. Patrick the Verdant — hero of the legendary Leprechaunic Wars, banisher of serpents, negotiator of gold disputes, and patron saint of those who believe “just one more drink” is a strategic decision.
What Awaits Within the Tavern
Step through the doors and into a living fair-day revel:
⚔️ Costumes encouraged — from gallant knight to tavern goblin to suspiciously modern time-traveler
🎻 Music by the Bard and the Bird
🍖 Hearty fare from Old Line fit for mercenaries and monarchs, wizards and warriors, artisans and assassins alike
🍻 Enchanted spirits and concoctions brewed by the Dragon’s alchemists
☘️ Festive mischief, heroic boasting, and at least one debate about whether faeries pay taxes
The Tale of the Night
Long ago, St. Patrick drove the serpents from the Emerald Isles.
Less known, he also negotiated peace between humanity and the Leprechaun Clans after the Third Great Disagreement About Who Actually Owned the Gold.
We celebrate his victory the only way history intended: music, laughter, questionable accents, and heroic quantities of drink.
A Warning from the Crown
Capacity is limited, and the court grows crowded quickly.
Secure thy ticket in advance lest thou be forced to remain outside listening to merriment and watching through the windows like a lonely street urchin.
So gather thy companions, don thy finest garb, and raise a glass with us in Frederick.
May thy coin purse be heavy, thy cup never empty, and thy alibi plausible.
