WHAT TO EXPECT
The Emerald highlights walk is going to be jam packed with gorgeous sights all day and is around 10km and is a fun and easy hike for all fitness levels! We will be walking through mostly flat and gorgeous bush lands.
The trail is roughly 10km and should take around 4 hours to complete depending on our pace. The trail is fairly easy with only around 200m of elevation (and which can be muddy went wet).
All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event. Dogs are welcome too!
START TIME AND MEET LOCATION
MEETING LOCATION: Puffing Billy Park and Playground
MEETING TIME: Arrive between 11:00am - far a 11:20am sharp Departure.
PARKING: There is plenty of parking at the meeting location
CARPOOLING: Need help getting a lift to the hike, feel free to post in the Facebook Group
WHAT TO BRING
- Water (at least 2-3L)
- Snack food for the hike
- Money for pub/café afterwards (optional)
WHAT TO WEAR
- Comfortable Walking Shoes
- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day).
- Hat / Beanie
FINISH
The Hike should take around 4 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing and photos.
This is a great hike in an iconic tourism location in Victoria. There is plenty to do and see around Emerald if you want to make a day of it and continue exploring the area after the hike.
