About this Event
This day workshop introduces you to a range of embroidery stitches and looks at how to embellish clothing or items such as cushions and home textiles, giving then a new lease of life.
This workshop is suitable for a beginner or experience stitcher as we will be looking at a variety of embroidery stitches, such as running, couching and raised embroidery.
You will have a choice of fabrics, threads and materials to experiment with to design to your own tastes.
Please bring with you any clothing or textiles you wish to embelish
Course Level: Beginner
Note : If you have a small sewing kit (needles and small scissors) please bring along.
Artist bio:
CarolAnn is an artist and educator specialising in hand embroidery based in Yorkshire. She also teaches Eco Printing, Slow Stitching and visible mending. CarolAnn's own practice explores the importance of Slow textiles and traditional skills, naturally dying her own fabrics and threads from her garden.

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.
