About this Event
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore how harm, healing, and community are not just abstract concepts, but embodied experiences that shape our interactions with ourselves and one another. Drawing from somatic practices, restorative justice principles, and community-building strategies, this session invites participants to reflect on how trauma, resilience, and collective care are lived through our physical selves.
Participants will delve into:
- How harm is stored and expressed in the body, and the impact that emotional and psychological injury have on our physical experiences.
- Techniques for healing through somatic awareness and practices that promote self-regulation, safety, and reconnection.
- The role of community in healing, and how collective care and solidarity can manifest through physical presence and action.
- Strategies for cultivating a more embodied sense of justice, belonging, and mutual support in our lives and communities.
This workshop is open to anyone interested in exploring the intersections of body, trauma, and community; whether you are a healer, activist, or simply someone seeking to deepen your understanding of the connections between physical experience and relational healing.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained tools for recognizing and navigating the embodied dimensions of harm and healing, and how to bring these practices into their personal and communal spaces.
This event is in person with limited seating. Please only register if you can attend the entire time.
