About this Event
About This Event
Embodied Roots is a two-day immersive EcoSensory Therapy practicum for practitioners who are curious about - or ready for - working therapeutically with nature.
This training is designed to move beyond theory. Over two days, you will experience the EcoSensory Model in action, guided by experienced trainers, within an outdoor setting. Rather than learning about nature-based practice from a classroom, you will be supported to embody the framework, understand its clinical foundations, and explore how it can be safely and ethically integrated into your own work.
Set in our local communtiy woodland, this practicum offers a grounded, evidence-based pathway into nature-based therapeutic practice.
What You Can Expect
Across the two days, you will:
- Experience guided EcoSensory practices aligned with each element of the model
(Ground, Connect, Rhythm, Discover, Attend, Create, Nourish & Reflect) - Spend extended time outdoors, allowing the framework to be felt and integrated, not just understood cognitively
- Learn the ethical, professional, and clinical foundations of working therapeutically in nature
- Develop confidence in choosing, assessing, and working within natural spaces
- Understand how to safely hold therapeutic space outdoors and online
- Explore core principles of outdoor risk assessment and safeguarding
- Leave with practical tools, frameworks, and next steps you can apply immediately in your own practice
