Come join us for Embodied Breath + Movement - a guided journey that combines the power of breathwork with the freedom of movement. In this session we will unlock the spine and allow energy to flow through the body from the core to its edges. This in-person gathering will help you connect with your body, release tension, and tap into your inner strength.

Meet your Facilitators:

Zan Lowe is an instructor in Brazilian Zouk, a sensual partner dance leveraging Yin and Yang energy dynamics (regardless of gender) and fluid circular movements. He has taught in over 10 countries across 4 continents and enjoys helping movement-lovers find their own authentic expression, regardless of dance style or presence of a partner.

Jacqueline Gomba is a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist and trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator certified by the Sacred Breath Academy. She is also the founder of the wellness brand, Looking Better Naked that supports womxn and creatives with their busy lifestyles. After a 13 year career in the music industry and experiencing burnout, Jacqueline has become an advocate for the health and wellbeing of creative people. It is Jacqueline's intention to craft artful containers for others to meet themselves in and within those spaces, encouraging self-awareness, strength, balance, and peace.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE WORKSHOP:

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (no belt or buttons) not restrictive around the waist. Please bring your yoga mat, eye mask to wear, and a pillow to emote into.

You're welcome to bring a journal and what you need to feel comfortable and nested.

We will be creating a community altar, please bring an item you would like to add to the space; this can be a crystal, talisman, or personal item.

Before the session:

Avoid consuming any alcohol or intoxicating substances and do not eat a large meal.

Make sure all food is digested at least 1 hour before and eat lightly in the hours prior.

Avoid coffee at least 3 hours before Breathwork. Coffee in the morning is fine if it's a part of your routine. Green tea is okay before the session.

We will be serving cacao to open the energy of heart space.

Turn off or silence notifications on your phone. Keep your phone in airplane mode.

Movement + Breathwork Outline:
15 mins: Introductions
25 mins: Movement
10 mins: Demo the breath technique
60 mins: Breathwork
35 mins+: Post Breathwork + Movement integration circle
the space & structure will be guided based on the collective needs of the group

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a type of breathing method that removes the pause between the inhale and exhale, gently increasing oxygen in the body and the brain. Through a diaphragmatic, nose-inhale breath cycle we are able to engage with our parasympathetic nervous system, the rest & restore state. While in this restorative state, we are able to experience longer journeying, heal more deeply, and ultimately receive the benefits of rest. In this workshop, we encourage free-form, uninhibited breathwork within a nourishing space that includes post-breath processing and integration. It is important to note that with Conscious Connected Circular Breathwork and the increase of oxygen, we are entering into an expanded (or non-ordinary) state of consciousness which allows us to shift the brainwave pattern.
