A few of us meet up for a get-together during the Six Nations each year, as you may have seen with our annual posts of pictures in this group, showing inebriated grey haired OE's huddled together, holding in our stomachs for the traditional 'school' photo.11 Old Boys made it to the last one, along with various friends and better halves, and we had a very entertaining time as usual. This has made us think how it would be great to have a meet up at a warmer time of year too!
To this end, we are going to have a few refreshments on Saturday July 4th in Winchester this year.
This is not an 'Official' OE' do, nor an exclusive catch up of close mates. There are at least 10 of us confirmed to attend already, and our attendance spans 1971 to 1990 so far, with others yet to confirm, who were at the school in the 1960s and further into the 90s.
This is purely a social get-together of like minds for the sole purpose of having a laugh!
If anyone here would like to bowl up, please do. Personally, part of the fun of these type of get-togethers is meeting up with new people who had a similar start in life as I did, or seeing someone I haven't seen for over 40 years!
This post is more of a 'save this date' post. I'll give more details nearer the date, but currently, we're meeting at 2pm in the Mucky Duck and moving on to the King Alfred at 3 where we've booked space to congregate and stay for as long as we need.
Partners and ex-teachers are more than welcome!
