Surya Deva is Professor at Macquarie Law School and UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development, with extensive experience advising UN agencies, governments, and corporations on embedding human rights into business practices. Formerly a member of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights (2016–2022), Professor Deva’s research has shaped global policy in sustainable development, climate action, and corporate accountability.
