Ely Lupe is first-born, first-generation, queer Chicana poet, theatre-maker, and educator. She was born and raised in Southeast LA, attended New York University, and acquired a Dual Master’s degree in Educational Theatre and English Education. She is currently teaching ELD and theatre in Long Beach. You can find her debut book of poetry, Chillona Chingona, on elylupe.com.
