Elwood & The Blues Masters, an homage to the Blues Brothers, once again bring their Fabulous Rhythm and Blues Review to the Legendary Knuckleheads! Performing the great dance hits of the immortal rhythm & blues and soul artists of the 60s and 70s, including Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, James Brown, Booker T. and the MG's, and the blues men Joilet Jake and Elwood Blues, The Blues Brothers! Heart-pounding, knees-shaking, horn-blasting, spirit-lifting, piano-pounding rhythm and blues soul sweating music! This new 9 piece BLUES BAND is comprised of some of the finest musicians Kansas City has to offer, including Bryan Wood on saxophone, Fred Zimmerman on trombone, Pat Pearce on keys, (all formerly of The Atlantic Express), Byron Jones on trumpet, Cliff Payne on bass, Cole Gurley on Bari sax (also of The MGDs), Scott Christensen on guitar/vocals, Dennis Marx on drums/vocals, and Russ Dameron harmonica/vocals (of The TrueTones). Together they are Elwood and the Blues Masters.
