Pangsoon, Hulu Langat is well known for its campsites and waterfalls. Its also starting point to tallest mountain in Selangor, Gunung Nuang. Orang asli of Temuan tribe roams this area for food and survival. Its ironic that thousands hike Gunung Nuang via Pangsoon every year does not realise they are passing by a hidden gem of waterfall located nearby here, before reaching Lolo Campsite.
There is many waterfalls name Berembun, in Terengganu, Pahang, N9, Behrang and this one in Hulu Langat Selangor.
I am not sure how the name Lata Bomoh Ali was given, but local legends says , there is a famous shaman with super healing power named Ali stayed there during the 70s.
Another story by my friend Muru, due to how both falls are located, Bomoh Ali and Berembun are like couples, and Ali is trying to go after Berembun and Berembun always plays hard to get by hiding at a corner.
That is one of the reason why this waterfall is not popularly known to general public. It has stayed pristine and clean as it should be for many years.
The hike involves hiking in deep jungle and involves hiking against some rough river currents depending on weather on that day. If you are up for the challenge you will be rewarded two beautiful pristine waterfalls.
Difficulty Level - Moderate. Its not physically strenuous but hikers must still be physically fit to dayhike more than 10km in a day. Some technical challenges involves coming down and climbing up from a steep cliff and walk on a slippery rock wall aided by ropes. Hikers who cant swim should avoid going in the deep end of Bomoh Ali falls which is very deep.

The bank in details for payment, Google Form and other important info regarding the hike will be provided in the Whatsapp group. Last Day to join is 20th MAC 2024. At least 1 weeks of advance booking for forest permit is needed , due to high demand to hike there and only limited permits available daily.

4. For safety purposes , organizers have the right to disallow your participation if you're deem unsuitable for the event/trip or for any other reason whatsoever.
5. There will be no refunds if you pull out or any unforeseen circumstances happened. Admin fees are also not transferable for future hikes.
6. If participant is late or absent at the meeting point on the agreed time , organizers and co host will not be required to wait for you. So please be on time.
