Goodbye yellow brick road is seen by many as one of the all-time classic albums. It was recorded in 1973 at the height of Elton and Bernie’s success. Recorded in the Honky Chateur in Southern France, the album blends rock n roll, blues, country, pop, classical, as well as rock, each one showing off the diverse talents of the partnership.Included on the album and recreated in this tribute are the unforgettable hits like Bennie and the Jets, Candle in the wind, Saturday nights alright for fighting, along with the less well known, but equally powerful songs, such as, Grey Seal, This Song Has No Title, I’ve Seen That Movie Too and Sweet Painted Lady, among many others.
The tribute is performed by a live band of talented musicians from Stratford upon Avon, Evesham, Stafford and Hitchin.
