š¢ Calling all teachers, librarians, and children's literature enthusiasts! š¢ Join The Rabbit hOle for a very special evening with Lisa Von Drasek, Curator of University of Minnesotaās Kerlan Collection of Children's Literature.
She will discuss how the progressive education movement of the early 20th century impacted Ruth Stiles Gannett, author of the beloved classic, My Fatherās Dragon.
Reprising a presentation she delivered in Japan on the anniversary of the book, Lisa will show how Elmerās journey to save the dragon embodies a core philosophy that Ruth carried throughout her life: "learn by doing."
