Join us on March 15th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM as we continue to celebrate Elliot Erwitt’s exhibition, Love & Laughter, with a lively panel discussion led by photographer Rick Smolan. Panelists Sean Corcoran, Mark Lubell, and Jeff Mermelstein will join Rick, reflecting on their experiences with Elliot and his long career as one of New York’s most memorable photographers. Our Panelists
Sean Corcoran is the senior curator of prints and photographs at the Museum of the City of New York. Previously, he was the Assistant Curator of Photographs at the George Eastman House. He was a featured essayist for Erwitt’s Home Around the World released in 2016.
Mark Lubell is the co-founder of Vagrant Ventures, a company that takes photographic collections into the public domain for education and to ensure their preservation, and the founder of LHJM, a consultancy that helps clients develop online education and visual literacy strategies. Previously, he was the executive director of the International Center of Photography and the Director of Magnum Photos.
Jeff Mermelstein is an American photojournalist and street photographer known for his work in New York City. He has exhibited his work internationally and is the author of six published books on his photography.
Rick Smolan is a former Time, Life, and National Geographic photographer best known as the co-creator of the Day in the Life book series. He is currently CEO of Against All Odds Productions, a cross-media organization.
