Join us for a short screening of a great BBC documentary about Ella Fitzgerald, called "First Lady of Song" (selected excerpt) 🎥The screening will be followed by by a cozy discussion led by Monica Blair about Ella’s voice, swing feel, and legacy.
We will also show a special gem: a full clip of Ella and Duke Ellington performing "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" together ✨
Afterwards, the floor comes alive! We we will transition into our Midweek Social, a social dance evening to the swing tunes played by DJ Gosia 🎵
