The Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry proudly serves the Elgin community and its residents who are experiencing hunger. We invite YOU to come out on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 11 am - 1:30 pm to show your support for our neighbors in need and enjoy a meal with your family and friends. Delight your taste buds by sampling soups, stews, and chilies prepared by some of Elgin’s best chefs. Each ticketed attendee will also take home a hand-painted ceramic soup bowl and the satisfaction that they have helped sustain food support to Elginites in need. The Empty Bowl Project is a national grassroots effort to fight hunger. The basic premise is simple: potters and other craftspeople, educators, and others work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. The beautiful hand-painted bowls serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. Thank you in advance for your support of this vital cause.
