Rarely performed in the United States, but beloved in England, "The Dream of Gerontius" by Edward Elgar features orchestra, choir and vocal soloists, and a text adapted from a poem by John Henry Newman. The LSO, conducted by Nicholas Bromilow, and the UMS Choral Union, directed by Scott Hanoian, will join forces for this very special free performance, which will also include Benjamin Britten's An American Overture, conducted by Michael Roest.
A pre-concert lecture will be held in the lower lobby.
