Radio Vilnius tęsia šiuolaikinės muzikos novatorėms pristatyti skirtą renginių ciklą „ELEVATORS“. Trečiajame serijos edition’e → prancūzų elektroakustinės muzikos kompozitorė, „Shelter Press“ leiblo bendraįkūrėja Félicia Atkinson.
Jos kūryboje susijungia improvizacija, mokslinė fantastika, erdviškumas, triukšmas, abstrakcija ir poezija, balsai egzistuoja greta peizažų, prisiminimų, knygų ir idėjų, o lauko įrašai, elektronika ir fragmentiški spoken word tekstai virsta daugiasluoksnėmis garsinėmis kompozicijomis.
Per daugiau nei du dešimtmečius trunkančią kūrybinę veiklą Félicia Atkinson bendradarbiavo su Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, Christina Vantzou ir Stephen O’Malley, o jos pasirodymai pristatyti tokiose erdvėse ir festivaliuose kaip Barbican Centre, Unsound, Atonal ir Philharmonie de Paris.
Muzikinę programą pradės „Longing“ - eksperimentinis Justinos Mykolaitytės ir Godo Yorke duetas, savaip interpretuojantis daugiau nei prieš keturis šimtmečius užrašytą muziką. Muzikiniame performanse „Longing“ barokinių arijų kontrastingumas ir afektų kaita „išilgėja“, virsta ilgesio audiniu.
Pasirodymo pagrindą sudaro keturių baroko epochos kompozitorių – Antonio Cesti, Claudio Monteverdi, Antonio Vivaldi ir Henry Purcell arijos, kurioms akompanuoja nostalgiški elektrinės gitaros garsai. Barokinis bel canto vokalas čia mainosi su improvizacijomis ir pop muzikos elementais, kuriant dialogą tarp seno ir naujo, klasikinio ir autentiško, meistriško ir eksperimentinio.

Radio Vilnius continues its ELEVATORS series, dedicated to women redefining contemporary music.
The third edition features Félicia Atkinson, French electroacoustic composer, visual artist and co-founder of Shelter Press.
Félicia Atkinson moves between electro-acoustic composition, language and image. Her multifaceted work embraces improvisation, science-fiction, chance, noise, abstraction and poetry, becoming a site of exchange between human and non-human expression, between landscapes, thoughts and memories. Through field recordings, electronics, piano passages and essayistic fragments in French and English, she creates layered sonic environments that are both narrative and open — intimate imaginary landscapes in constant motion.
Though her work has appeared on imprints such as Portraits GRM, Geographic North and Boomkat Editions, Shelter Press remains Atkinson’s primary creative home. Across more than two decades of activity, she has collaborated with Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, Chris Watson, Christina Vantzou and Stephen O’Malley, performing at institutions and festivals including Barbican Centre, Unsound, Atonal and Philharmonie de Paris.
Opening the evening → “Longing”, an experimental duo by Justina Mykolaitytė and Goda Yorke, reinterpreting music written more than four centuries ago through a contemporary lens. In the performance, the contrasts and shifting affects of baroque arias are stretched into a fabric of longing.
Built around works by Antonio Cesti, Claudio Monteverdi, Antonio Vivaldi and Henry Purcell, the performance merges bel canto vocals with improvisation, nostalgic electric guitar textures and elements of pop music, tracing a dialogue between old and new, classical and experimental.
