This full day course will explore all aspects of public speaking and give plenty of opportunities to practise in a safe and supportive environment. Please come prepared to contribute to all exercises and to offer encouragement to fellow delegates.

Topics include: overcoming nerves; discovering your purpose; five questions to plan any speech; body language; and how to deliver with impact. Where possible, we will look to match graduates of the course with speaking opportunities for Elevate and/or partner organisations.

Non-member rate: £250 + VAT

About the trainer

Ilona Alcock is co-founder of Elevate and has hosted a wide range of events, including the GM Green Summit, NW Charity Awards and GM Business Growth Hub's Festval of Enterprise. She also regularly chairs roundtables, interviews leaders and facilitates workshops. Ilona used to be a very nervous public speaker and has developed her skills and confidence through JCI UK, a not-for-profit leadership organisation. She has since trained across the UK and Europe and is always delighted to see her graduates on stage. Alongside running Elevate, Ilona is a Senator of JCI UK and trustee of animal welfare charity, Feathers Together.
