About this Event
What: Join us for a data-informed conversation about what keeps recent graduates in the area post-graduation. Through facilitated conversations we’ll explore the roles that employers, business leaders, colleges & universities, arts & entertainment, districts and more play in helping the Midlands attract and retain young talent.
Why: The Competitiveness Council made a commitment to expand on the attraction and retention of young adult talent following the Elevate Midlands Report Launch Event in April, where we heard from college seniors about their decision-making process regarding where they would live and work after graduation. As a follow up, this fall event will expand on data points related to talent retention and continue the conversation to uncover ways our community can collaborate to find solutions.
Who: This conversation will be of most value to representatives from the following:
- CEO’s & HR Directors of Midlands businesses
- Arts & cultural organizations
- Hospitality, restaurant, tourism & entertainment representatives
- Main Street, Five Points & Vista Cultural Districts
- Housing & real estate developers
- Riverwalk, parks, & recreation representatives
- Volunteer organizations
- Local Government & Economic Development leaders
