On May 28, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Parlaiment, join Elevate International for Elevate Entre-Nous focused on leadership, communication, and building stronger, more inclusive communities through meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

This inspiring evening will bring together influential voices from media, public affairs, entrepreneurship, and global leadership to explore how communication, civic engagement, and inclusive leadership can shape a more connected and resilient society.

Moderated by Solange Tuyishime Keita, President & CEO of Elevate International, the conversation will highlight the importance of authentic storytelling, pluralism, leadership, and public discourse in today’s rapidly evolving world.

The panel will feature distinguished speakers and thought leaders, including:

  • Anaida Poilievre – Founder of Pretty & Smart® and co-founder of LeadHerForward
  • Dr. David Moscrop – Political theorist, writer, and media commentator
  • Meredith Preston McGhie – Secretary General, the Global Centre for Pluralism

Together, we will explore how leadership, communication, and collaboration can foster stronger communities, elevate diverse voices, and inspire positive social impact across sectors and generations.

Anaida Poilievre

Anaida Poilievre is a communications professional, entrepreneur, and founder of the Pretty & Smart® brand. She is also the co-founder of LeadHerForward, a women’s initiative created alongside Vanessa Mulroney. Through her work and public voice, Anaida explores themes of femininity, leadership, ambition, and authenticity, bringing a grounded and thoughtful perspective to modern womanhood.



Dr. David Moscrop

Dr. David Moscrop is a political theorist, author, columnist, and commentator specializing in democracy, political communication, and public discourse. A former Vanier Scholar and postdoctoral fellow, he is the author of Too Dumb for Democracy? and a contributor to publications including The Washington Post and Maclean’s. He is also the host of the podcast Open To Debate.



Meredith Preston McGhie

Meredith Preston McGhie is Secretary General of the Global Centre for Pluralism, where she leads international efforts to advance pluralism, dialogue, and inclusive societies. With more than two decades of experience in peacebuilding, mediation, and humanitarian response across Africa and Asia, her work has included leadership roles with the United Nations and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue.



Mike Lake

Mike Lake, PC, MP, is the Member of Parliament for Leduc–Wetaskiwin and has served in public office since 2006. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held several senior leadership and critic roles, including mental health, international development, and accessibility. Mike is also widely recognized for his advocacy alongside autism and neurodiverse communities across Canada.


Entre-Nous events are part of the Elevate Intenational's initiative dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and economic empowerment. Held at the historic Rideau Club, with its spectacular view of Parliament as our backdrop, these events are intended to spark conversations and connections that empower women to be leaders of change.
