Σε πρώτη πανελλήνια προβολή, το Electronic Body Movie είναι το πρώτο ντοκιμαντέρ που αφηγείται την ιστορία της Electronic Body Music (EBM), του underground ήχου που με αφετηρία το post-punk, το industrial και το Neue Deutsche Welle και επίκεντρο το Βέλγιο και τη Γερμανία των αρχών της δεκαετίας του 80, συνέβαλε στην εξέλιξη της χορευτικής ηλεκτρονικής σκηνής.
Σε σκηνοθεσία του Pietro Anton (Italo Disco Legacy), η ταινία μας ταξιδεύει στις αρχές των 80s. Μέσα από σπάνιο αρχειακό υλικό, ακυκλοφόρητα lives και συνεντεύξεις από τους πρωτοπόρους του είδους, όπως οι Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF), Front 242 και Liaisons Dangereuses, αποτυπώνεται η ατμόσφαιρα της εποχής, ενώ παρακολουθούμε πώς η EBM διαμόρφωσε την ηλεκτρονική σκηνή, την club κουλτούρα και γιατί συνεχίζει να εμπνέει σύγχρονους DJs και παραγωγούς σε όλο τον κόσμο.

Premiering nationwide in Greece, the Electronic Body Movie is the first documentary to tell the story of Electronic Body Music (EBM) - an underground sound that, emerging from post-punk, industrial, and Neue Deutsche Welle, and centered in Belgium and Germany in the early 1980s, played a key role in the evolution of the electronic dance music scene.
Directed by Pietro Anton (Italo Disco Legacy), the film takes us back to the early ’80s. Through rare archival footage, previously unreleased live performances, and interviews with pioneers of the genre such as Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF), Front 242, and Liaisons Dangereuses, it captures the atmosphere of the era. At the same time, it explores how EBM shaped the electronic music scene and club culture, and why it continues to inspire contemporary DJs and producers around the world.
