ABOUT THE INSTITUTION :-
Vel Tech High Tech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College was established in the year 2002 under R.S.Trust founded by the Philanthropic couple – Col. Prof. Vel. Dr. R. Rangarajan Founder President & Chairman and Dr. Sagunthala Rangarajan Foundress Vice-Chairman respectively. Under the governance of AICTE & Anna University this College has 10 branches of study with 9 UG Programmes and 2 PG Programmes.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT :-
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering established in 2002 with an initial intake of 60 then increased to 120 in 2006 is NBA-accredited till 2026 and permanently affiliated to Anna University since 2013. With 24 experienced faculty members including 12 Ph.D holders and 10 pursuing Ph.D and 2 recognized Ph.D supervisors(Ref. No. 2640062) the department mentors 491 students and several Ph.D scholars—one awarded a Ph.D on 16.09.2022. The department features 6 classrooms 6 laboratories an exclusive seminar hall a Centre of Excellence in AI & IoT and is supported by 3 technical staff. It has completed AICTE-funded MODROBS and STTP projects worth ₹10 Lakhs and received ₹90 Lakhs for establishing an IDEA Lab. It also secured ₹1 Lakh DST-SERB funding to host a National-Level Conference in November 2022 fostering innovation and research collaboration.
