Twice a year, the dance between the sun and earth strikes a perfect balance. To celebrate the Spring Equinox, we bring you a night that lives right in that delicious middle – where light meets dark, day flirts with night, and mischief is strongly encouraged. The spring equinox is a time of entering into and shifting from balance. On the vernal equinox, we go from our darkness dominated winter to our light dominated spring and summer. Every day gets a little longer and things feel just a little bit brighter. Light can’t come without darkness, and we invite you to explore that duality on March 21st, when we present Electro Equinox: Light and Dark.
The theme for the night is duality and the balance of light and dark. We suggest you come dressed in wintery whites, bold blacks, or whatever strange creature emerges when the two collide, but we invite you to wear whatever duality, balance, or light/dark mean to you.
The main room of the Pearl will be bringing you high fidelity music, while the upstairs will be a puddtastic chill space replete with cushions galore and multiple interactive art pieces. DJs and art will be announced in the weeks to come.
Our event will be raising funds to keep bringing you the art and camps you love, plus support for new projects. The projects we’ve helped fund over just the past year include:
CERN in the Forest
The Church of Cheesus Crust of Udder Day Saints
The Meatheads
The Rumpus Room
The Gentle Hecklers Porch
The Frog Bog Hopper Race and
The Filthmas Tree

We want to ensure that this is a safe space and safe event for everyone in attendance. Consent is on-going, mandatory, and non-negotiable. Only an enthusiastic yes is a yes, so make sure to check in or ask during your interactions. Something as simple as remembering to ask “would you like a hug?” before enveloping someone can go a long way to making people feel safe! Please also make sure to ask before taking a photo. There’s going to be a lot of fabulous outfits and funny situations, but not everyone wants that documented by others!
To ensure the safety and security of the attendees of this event, the organizers of this event retain the right, at their sole discretion, to refuse sale of a ticket or entry to any prospective attendee, as well as potentially require removal of an attendee.
