Artist statement:
My ceramics work is both a response to the natural environment that surrounds me and a connection to the legacy of ceramic work that has come before.

I specialize in saggar firing, a process that allows me to harness the unpredictable and transformative power of organic materials. By carefully arranging natural elements and manufactured materials around my pieces, I invite the kiln to collaborate with me, leaving behind unique marks and hues that tell the story of the firing. Each piece becomes a record of this alchemical process, a fusion of human invention and the raw, untamed energy of nature.

My ceramics are more than objects; they are vessels of connection—to the earth and its raw materials, to the process of creation, and to the human imagination. Through my work, I hope to provide a distinctive and unique piece of ceramic art , that invites an appreciation of the whole and the subtle.
