Election Day Prayer Vigil at Asylum Hill Congregational ChurchOn Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Asylum Hill Congregational Church (AHCC) will open its doors to the community for a Prayer Vigil in support of peace, unity, and the democratic process. The vigil, inviting all to come together in reflection and hope as our nation exercises its right to vote, will take place in the church’s sanctuary at 814 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, from 7am – 7pm.
In a time that can be marked by division and uncertainty, the Prayer Vigil will offer space for peaceful reflection, where attendees can engage in prayer and meditation surrounded by contemplative music, in the beautiful historic sanctuary of Asylum Hill Congregational Church.
“We believe that prayer can be a powerful force for centering and calm, especially during times of significant decision-making,” said Rev. Erica Thompson, Senior Minister at AHCC. “It is our hope that the vigil will serve as a reminder that regardless of our differences, we are all part of a shared community and are committed to the well-being of our nation and all God’s children.”
