This is a FREE ADMISSION, all ages event and dogs are welcome and encouraged to attend, provided the following simple rules are followed:
• All dogs MUST be on a leash at all times. Retractable leashes allowed only if they are locked at 6ft or less.
• We support positive behaviour training. No choke chains, pinch collars, or electric collars allowed
• Poop happens - but owners are asked to please bring their own collection bags and to clean up after their pet
Water bowls will be provided on-site. Public washrooms are available in the Pavilion.
We are supporters of the Yellow Ribbon Program:
Just like people, dogs have their own personalities and moods, and although we may be tempted to rush up and give every dog we see some love it is important to be respectful of both the dogs and the owners. We will be providing pieces of yellow ribbon to tie on your dog’s collar or leash if you would like to signal to people that they need a little space for any number of reasons. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon
Public events aren't for every person - or every dog. Before attending, please consider whether this activity is one which your dog will enjoy as it will entail lots of new places, people, smells, situations, and of course, lots of other dogs. If your dog is anxious in crowds, does not enjoy the company of other dogs, has aggressive tendencies, or other behavioral issues that may arise in this situation then it may not be an enjoyable experience for you or your pet.
THIS EVENT IS MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH A COMMUNITY GRANT FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF CHARLOTTETOWN.
