El Paso County’s Office of New Americans, in partnership with United Way of El Paso County, invites you to a special workshop on Thursday, June 25th from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at the EPCC Administrative Services Center (9050 Viscount Blvd.). Why this matters: El Paso County's Office of New Americans is developing a Countywide Welcoming Strategic Plan as part of the national Gateways for Growth initiative. The goal is to highlight how immigrant and multilingual residents strengthen El Paso’s economy and community, and to identify ways to improve programs, services, and partnerships for everyone. To make this plan effective, we want input directly from you – nonprofits, service providers, community organizations, and residents who work with or serve diverse communities.
What to expect: This will be an interactive listening session where you can share your experiences and ideas. We want to hear about the work already happening in your organization, any challenges people face accessing County services, and your suggestions for making El Paso more welcoming. Everyone’s perspective is valuable as we seek to strengthen coordination across departments so that all residents (including foreign-born, non-citizens, and multilingual individuals) can access the support they need and contribute fully.
