Dear tango lovers,
It’s time - registrations for the January–March term at El Encuentro Tango are now officially open, and we’re very happy to welcome you into a new season of learning, exploration, beautiful embraces and community!
Whether you are just beginning your tango journey or have many years of experience, this term brings several valuable additions to our program not to be missed.
What’s new this term?
🌟 Exceptional Guest Teachers
We are honoured to welcome Dana Zampieri, a multiple-times Tango World Cup finalist and widely recognised as one of the finest musicality teachers in the tango world. Dana’s ability to reveal the deeper layers of the music and translate them into connection and movement makes her workshops truly transformative.
Our beloved Lucila Prego also returns this season — a Tango World Cup finalist and an extraordinarily refined dancer and teacher. Lucila’s clarity, precision, and elegant approach to technique have inspired many of our students, and we’re thrilled to have her with us again.
🏛 A new Monday venue: Salen in Allégården
This term, our Monday classes and weekly práctica will take place in Salen, one of central Göteborg’s most atmospheric and elegant halls. Refined, spacious, and full of character, it is a space that
beautifully supports the essence of tango.
🎭 El Encuentro Tango Stage Group
We’re opening a dedicated space for students who want to explore tango as a performative art. This term includes two exclusive workshops (5 hours total) for intermediate and advanced dancers, focusing on advanced combinations and the dynamic energy of stage tango.
