Eivør, one of the most distinctive voices of the Nordic music scene, returns with a new album that was strongly influenced by the rugged landscapes and communal singing culture of her homeland, the Faroe Islands. She connects centuries-old traditions with a contemporary sound.
Her new work again moves between multiple genres, combining Nordic folk, cinematic compositions and modern production to form a dark, moody and emotionally charged sound. You may recognise her voice from The Last Kingdom (TV series) and God of War (game), where she helped give form to the captivating sound worlds.
Live, Eivør is known for her intense and emotional performances, in which she brings her music to life with an energy that is intimate yet powerful. Her next release marks the beginning of a new chapter: more direct and more focused, while still rich in the emotional depth that characterises her sound.
Eivør brings along Rabbitology as special guest. Rabbitology is the world created by the quirky mind of Nat Timmerman, a place full of whimsical ideas and underground meanderings. Simply follow the tracks of the three-legged rabbit and, before you know it, you’ll be knee-deep in a universe of eclectic soundscapes. There you’ll discover a collection of memories transformed into fanciful, musical short stories.
